Consulting

I help leaders build processes, teams, and organisations that can adapt, innovate, and flourish in increasingly uncertain environments.

For the last 15 years, I’ve worked with governments, startups, NGOs, and established multinationals on navigating these kinds of challenges. Current and former clients include the Government of Singapore, Markel Global, Stripe Inc, the Carlyle Group, the United Nations Development Programme, and other organisations under NDA.

I’m also honorary faculty (formerly full-time faculty in strategy and entrepreneurship) at University College London’s School of Management, and I lead UCLs executive education programmes in Southeast Asia.

Where I can help

Clients usually come to me in one of two situations:

  1. They want to do something genuinely new — launch a product, reinvent a process, enter a new market — but their teams are stuck, paralysed by the potential for failure when doing something they’ve never done before.
  2. The senior leadership team agrees on shared goals, but can’t seem to avoid taking actions that work at cross-purposes despite their best intentions.

If this sounds familiar, read on.

What I do

I’m an amorphous consultant. (I wrote an explanation of what amorphous consulting is, and why it’s useful).

Fortunately, there’s a more immediately comprehensible way to try out working with me: Time-delimited packages of on-demand hours.

These are blocks of time that you and your team can use to get support in thinking rigorously and practically through problems and issues your organisation faces:

These packages are a low-friction way to try out working together without needing prior discovery.

I also provide more customised offerings:

How I engage

No matter the engagement type — whether it’s a package of on-demand hours or a fully customised project — you always work directly with me.

I scope engagements around specific areas where I have deep expertise and comparative advantage. Where needed, I bring in handpicked senior experts from my global network — people I trust, who are exceptional in their respective fields.

By design, I don’t operate the conventional consulting model that monetises the heavily marked-up time of junior staff.

What you get

When clients work with me, their organisations learn to distinguish risk from uncertainty — and how to act accordingly.

This empowers their organisations and teams to work autonomously without colliding, diagnose strategic problems more precisely, and move faster toward effective and innovative solutions
